Mindset Monday: Mental Boundaries

These lyrics remind me that perspective is important and a pathway to belief. Like "lines in the sand" we create mental barriers for ourselves that keep us from achieving our goals. Sometimes these barriers have been instilled in us from our upbringings, some have been manifested by past experience. Either way, the lines are imaginary. The barriers are not real. The only difference is belief. If you THINK the barriers are real, you wont cross them. Like a animal that has been trained boundaries by a electric fence will stay in the confines even when the fence is turned off. Belief is what will turn your fence off and allow you to break those boundaries.

Mindset: Mental boundaries are not a physical limitation, they are a manifestation of our own doubts and fears. They can be overcome through the belief in your own abilities.

Action: Choose something you have wanted to accomplish. Write out the steps needed to accomplish it. Be SUPER specific with both your goal and steps. Make each step an actual action. "I will X,Y, and Z by this time." Take each step as it's own accomplishment. Begin working on step #1 TODAY! As you complete each step, the belief that you WILL complete all of them and accomplish your end goal gets stronger and stronger.

Flo Tip: If you need help with the steps, reach out to someone who has already accomplished this same goal and ask them to break down their method. Most people are willing to discuss their own accomplishments at great length.
